Who we are:
We at the SHiFT team started out just like you did – looking for some help. Our collective experience was so powerful that we shifted careers to become practitioners!
Our practitioners are certified Energy Kinesiologists, trained in multiple modalities, including but not limited to:
- Simply The Brain by Jacque Mooney
- Neuro Energetic Kinesiology by Hugo Tobar
- LEAP by Dr. Charles Krebs
- BAUD reset therapy
Laura and Leslie are also 2 of the only 3 people in the US certified to teach Simply the Brain. Laura is also a certified Brain Health Coach through the Amen Clinics and Leslie is currently studying for her certification. We also partner up the amazing Whitney and Katie from Source for Wellbeing for our Brain Health Coaching needs. (And yes, we highly recommend Brain Health Coaching. If you think of Brain Integration as weeding a garden, Brain Health Coaching is like soil prep and mulching to prevent those weeds from coming back.)
As broad and powerful as our training is, even more powerful are the people behind the protocol. We have two amazing practitioners at SHiFT: Laura Cardwell, SHiFT founder and CEO, and Leslie Fay, senior SHiFT practitioner. Please take a moment to read their bios and learn more about them as people.
Laura has a broad history working with kids with specific learning differences. She’s also skilled working with anxiety, trauma, memory and other neurological stress. She is based in beautiful and historic Biltmore Village in the old Clarence Baker Memorial Hospital. The office is light and crisp and we share the space with the gracious Dr. Erin Stefanacci of Carolina Holistic Health.
Leslie Fay has a strong background working with adults dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and food and physical sensitivities. She is also well versed in working with children (and adults!) with specific learning differences. Leslie is based in vibrant West Asheville at 9 Emory Road in the architectural gem she calls home.
Behind the scenes you will find the incomparable Cate Bergrud, office manager, occasional marketeer and lover of coffee. Cate’s desire to help others is only exceeded by her desire to avoid photographs. She splits her time between several healthcare ventures, volunteers with Arms Around ASD, Buncombe County Special Olympics and is raising two amazing young boys – one of whom is a walking testament to Brain Integration!
